Our Team

​This project is initiated by Community Food Strategies, a multi-organizational project led by the Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS), and funded by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina Foundation.

The project leadership team will engage North Carolinians from across the state in multiple ways. Our intention is that this work is guided by partners who know the challenges of the food system best, those on the ground and in communities.
  • ​An advisory committee is guiding the direction of the work by identifying the questions we need answered to ensure we’re building a food system that nourishes people, places and communities.
  • A technical committee will take their charge from the advisory committee and make specific recommendations for metrics to be tracked over time.
